On May 15, “China Multimedia Information Communication Forum 2007” themed with “Open global multimedia information communication technology platform for a new era” was held in Beijing. Experts from telecom field and representatives from business enterprises attended the meeting. Donjin Tech, the sponsor of the meeting presented CTI industry new standard and released such standard based integrated multimedia central office series products.

On this forum, some experts shared their view with the participants together with analysis on the opportunities and challenges of information communication industry from industry, technology and service provision point of view, discussed the market response strategy. CTI, as a cross-industry of computer industry and communication industry, emerged in the early 1980s. concept from traditional CTI concept (C: computer – PC/industrial computer; T: telephony; I: integration) to the new concept (C: computing – computer system’s data processing ability; T – telecommunication – telecom equipment’s reliability, to be systematic advantage; I: IP/Internet – IP network/Internet distributed processing and interconnection interlink advantage); in addition, based on this redefinition, Donjin Tech, relying on its strong R&D capacity, design the new technological framework and released such standard based Donjin multimedia central office platform. Mr. He also expressed his hope that Donjin’s effort would do good to energize this industry, made CTI products breaking through the restriction, and turned to be a true main player in future multimedia information communication field.

Mr. He Shuping, GM of Donjin Tech Marketing Center, also in the meeting discussed the bottleneck issues existed in telecom operation from subscribers, service demands and service platform technologies point of view. Mr. He believes: no matter individual users or industrial users, their demand has been switched from unitary to comprehensive, and service platform also developed from one service one platform or same service in different platforms in different places to a uniformed, open, flexible and high-performance multi-service carrying platform. Professor Song Junde from Being University of Posts believes that “Yessoe” as a kind of platform technology integrated with communication control, media processing and service flow control is suitable for the next-generation network where voice, data, video and stream media and other services and applications are effectively merged and integrated.
